Customs fee for a gift parcel
What they say
“Your friend sent a gift from abroad. Pay the customs charge to release it.”
Signs to spot
• New online friend sends an expensive gift
• A "customs officer" asks for fees
• Fees keep increasing
Your safe move
Do not pay. Real customs charges come through the official courier, not a stranger.
